The Fredonia Farmers’ Market is held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday mid-May through October on Church Street, downtown Fredonia. It features a variety of vendors, with special events TBA. A number of vendors accept EBT, NYS Farmers Market Nutrition checks and WIC vegetables and fruits checks.

Westfield Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market

Moore Park, center of Westfield, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Locally grown produce, meats, baked goods, food products, craft items and more. Prepared foods suitable for breakfast and lunch and hot and cold beverages are also available. The Westfield Flea, an antiques and vintage market, is on the other side of the park.

Children ages 2 to 8 and their caregivers are invited to a free nature-based storytime at the Audubon Community Nature Center, 1600 Riverside Road, Jamestown from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Sunday admission is also free. Main Street Studios presents: Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Shrew”

50 W. Main St., Fredonia, 2 p.m. $20 general admission, $10 children and seniors. Features Sara Schoch, Paul Mockovak and local actors.

Bingo will take place at St. Joseph’s parish, 145 E. Main St., Fredonia. Doors open at 5 p.m.; bingo begins at 7. Masks should be worn by those not vaccinated and social distancing will be observed.

Lakeshore Humane Society Wednesday open adoption hours

The Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, will hold open adoption hours from 6 to 8 p.m. The public is welcome to see the dogs and cats in need of loving homes. Tours of the facility will not be given. Individual appointments are available throughout the week by leaving a message at 716 672-1991; press “1” for dogs or “2” for cats. Movies at the Reg – “Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, A Journey, A Song”
